The Novel Cafe is successful because we have the support and business of our community. So, we got to thinking… It’s time to give back more.
Starting this month, The Novel Cafe is going to be donating approximately $500 per month to local charities, or charities that help the local community. We’ll be picking a different charity each month, with your help.
How can you help? Just let us know which charity you think we should donate to and why.

Hello Novel Cafe.
I just recently moved to LA to be a new team member of Akerfa. Akerfa is a non-profit that is working to solve transportation issues in developing and 3rd world areas of the world. They just started a new project on Skid row just on 5th and Towne in down town LA that is working with residents of the Fred Jordan Mission training them in marketable manufacturing skills to aid the students in breaking the pattern of homelessness and benefiting the world (the Congo in our current project) by producing ambulance trailers that are pulled behind bicycles or motor bikes to save lives in the most remote parts of the world. I love your shop in the arts district and since moving to the area have gone there nearly every day. I was just checking your hours now, saw this and thought i’d give a pitch for what we are doing here on skid row. You guys are great. Thank you.

donate to http://worldwidefistulafund.org/ to help womon in third world countries recieve maternal services because of rape and lack of protection during intercourse. the womons wombs are tear and broken making the urine leak constently. as a result they are forced to live in the edge of the town with no food or water. thankfully great doctors and midwives went and built a hospital but it is not enough and they lack funds to continue. pLease cafe nova help this orgnzation. maternal health is our health.

Hello,
You should absolutely give to the Rose Temple. Everyday they feed homeless people and other in the community three meals a day for FREE.
Their technical name is International Gaudiya Vedanta Society (IGVS) on the corner of Rose and Hampton.
